The wait for Google’s ‘Made by Google’ event ended yesterday where it turned most of the rumors true and announced amazing new gadgets including its most awaited Pixel phones.

Google held its Pixel 3 event yesterday in New York where along with new Pixel smartphones, the tech giant also unveiled new devices including Pixel Slate and Google Home Hub. Here is a list of biggest gadgets announced yesterday by Google.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

Of course, these showstoppers were set to be revealed at the event and turns out, they are just like what the rumors expected them to be. As described by The Verge, the Pixel 3 comprises of a 5.5-inch screen as compared to the Pixel 3 XL, which is a 6.3-inch phone featuring a notch design.

Both the phones come in with a single 12.2MP rear camera, but instead dual 8MP front cameras. The camera incorporates numerous features like high-resolution zoom, Night Sight low light mode and a Photobooth mode that automatically snaps pictures of people and pets.

The phones come in with 4GB RAM with either 64Gb or 128GB storage, along with the latest Android 9 Pie. A new wireless charging Pixel Stand was also introduced that keeps the phone up as a standing Google Assistant.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL start at $799 and $899 respectively for 64GB variant, also available in a new ‘Not Pink’ color along with ‘Just Black’ and ‘Clearly White’. The Pixel Stand costs extra $79. The pre-orders of the phones have already begun and will be shipped on October 18.

Chrome OS on Pixel Slate

Google’s new 12.3-inch tablet called Pixel Slate came in with new Chrome OS instead of usual Android. The tablet features 8MP front and rear camera, dual speakers on the front, no headphone jack, and a fingerprint reader. The 2-in-1 tablet can also be paired with Bluetooth Pixel Slate Keyboard with rounded keys and backlighting, however the keyboard is sold separately along with a separate Pixelbook Pen stylus.

At launch, the tablet will be offered in ‘Midnight Blue’ color only starting at $599, no shipping date was specified. The keyboard costs extra $199 and the stylus comes will be available for purchase for $99.

As expected, the Google Home Hub is a voice-controlled speaker with a 7-inch touchscreen smart display that serves as a picture frame integrated with Google Photos, a visual version of Google Assistant, and video feed for viewing YouTube. The Home Hub integrates with smart home gadgets, and shifts to a standard display when not in use showing general information such as day, time, weather etc.

The Hub comes in four colors: Black, White, Aqua, and Sand. It is already available for pre-order for $149 and will start shipping from October 22, as per Tech Radar.
