In a bid to boost the moral of police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel, interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Monday announced special incentives for the cops. In a statement issued by the interior ministry, the interior minister has accorded approval for purgation of police constable, head constable and assistant sub-inspector police. The constable will be upgraded from grade V to VII, head constable from VII to IX, and ASI from IX to XI.
The minister has also promised to increase the salaries of FC personnel parallel to police during the one and half years. In the first phase, the salaries of FC personnel will be increased 50 percent, besides granting them internal security duty allowance.
He also approved to enhance the service length of FC personnel from 35 to 45 years. The prime minister will give approval to the recommendations within a few days, and a notification will be issued.
