Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has accelerated drive against illegal use of electricity throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this connection PESCO Police Peshawar along with raiding teams conducted raids in different areas of Peshawar and hundreds of people were caught red-handed while taking direct connections from LT Line.
During last month the company lodged 177 FIRs and recovered Rs 9.8 million from defaulters during the campaign.
The chief executive PESCO has directed its police for conducting raids with collaboration of PESCO staff and root out power pilferage. A spokesman of the power distribution company has vowed that drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue.
