Right-arm medium fast bowler Nadra steered Mardan to three wickets victory before finishing four wickets for 11 runs in her three overs spell on Wednesday in the ongoing 2nd All-Pakistan Twenty20 Women Cricket Tournament being played here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Chairman, Frontier Foundation Sahibzada Haleem was the chief guest on this occasion and before the start of the match the players of Mardan and Peshawar White were introduced to him.
Organising Secretary Malik Amjad Aziz Malik, Mrs. Raham Bibi (Peshawar), Miss Gul Nar (Mardan) and small crowd were also present.
Peshawar skipper Saira won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up a meager total of 64 runs only with just Saira played a captain knock of 20 runs not out, Momina made 15 runs, Neelam scored 11 runs with 15 runs extra, none of the other batter could cross the double figures.
For Mardan Nadra was the pick of the pack as she claimed four wickets for just 11 runs in her three overs spell, Sadia got two for 10 runs, Aysha Kanwal took two for 11 runs and Kukab grabbed two wickets for 18 runs.
In reply, Mardan did not take a good start and Mardan first wicket down on just one run. Only Sana scored 17 runs, Kukab hit another quick-fire 16 runs with three boundaries and Aysha made 10 runs not out with 17 runs extra. Thus Mardan chased the target for the loss of seven wickets after playing 13.5 overs.
