Following the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a case has been registered against an employee of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) in Pakistan embassy in Kuwait over embezzlement of Rs8.2 million.
An official said that the accused Adnan Akram was an employee of the Nadra and had served an accountant at Nadra office at Pakistan embassy in Kuwait from 2010 to 2012, allegedly embezzled Rs8.2 million. He said that the accused went underground soon after the misappropriation committed by him, were surfaced. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against the accused and cancelled his visa and the embassy has taken his passport into its custody.
Official said that the Interior Minister also issued directives to dispatch a team of the FIA for the arrest of accused person.
