At least six people were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of firing in the city, here on Friday. Police said that unidentified armed men shot and injured three people near Shafique More and fled. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where all of them succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
In another incident, two people were gunned down in Patel Para area by armed attackers. In yet another incident, a person was shot and injured by unknown attacker in Haidari Market area. The injured was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Several people were reported injured in separate incidents of firing in different areas of the metropolis, who were rushed to different hospitals of respective areas for treatment. Meanwhile, police arrested three 15 suspects including three alleged target killers of a banned outfit. Arms, explosives and drugs were also recovered from the accused. Police said that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies personnel conducted joint operation during which three target killers of a banned outfit were apprehended with arms, explosives and laptop.
