Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam has said that people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the entire country rejected the call of 'sit-in' by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. Addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Sunday, he said the agenda of PTI Chief Imran Khan is to create anarchy and put hurdles in the ongoing process of development and prosperity in the country.
Amir Muqam said entire state machinery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was used by the provincial government to hold protest and 'sit in'. He said ending the PTI protest in Islamabad peacefully is the victory of entire nation.
While commenting on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government decision of moving court against the allegedly changing of western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he demanded of the Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to step down as he failed to maintain impartiality and his neutral position. He suggested the KP speaker to read out the constitution and law of Pakistan while moving to high court on the issue of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) mega project. PM advisor said that the CPEC project would bring prosperity in the country not only to part but for the entire country because the mega project would boost the economy of Pakistan. He added that the Pakistani upcoming generation would not forgive the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders for foiling the CPEC project.
"The KP chief minister on 29th August in a seminar was agreed on the CPEC project but suddenly what happened with KP chief minister as the CM became against the mega project" he asked. The CPEC project, Muqam said was a huge investment in Pakistan but the PTI leaders made it a political issue. He said if the mega project failed it would neither harm to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif nor Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) but the CPEC project would detriment the Pakistan nation.
Criticizing the PTI lock-down Islamabad, he said that PTI leaders wanted and were ready to raid on Parliament house and take resignation from the prime minister but the interior minister and Punjab government handle the whole situation carefully. "The masses have rejected the PTI lockdown politics and their participant numbers were also not more than a few thousands while the PTI claimed that one million workers would be participated in the protest sit-in in Islamabad" Muqam said.
"The PTI before its protest claimed that their protest sit-in will be peaceful but we knew the PTI intentions as in 2014 protest sit-in the PTI workers raided on state own TV channel and damaged the parliament house walls" he further said.
Criticizing the KP chief minister, the PM advisor said that it was seen first time in Pakistan history that a province chief minister had used the national resources and helicopter for his party activities. He said that PTI leaders wanted to seize and paralyzed the central government, adding that the PTI protest was nothing but point scoring. "The KP government left the public agenda and brought anti-Pakistan agenda" he said. We know which kind of change the PTI has brought in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa" the PM advisor added.
Replaying to a quarry regarding governor rule in KP, Muqam said that the PML-N had no intention to impose governor rule but the PML-N without governor rule could topple the PTI government since the beginning but the prime minister Nawaz Sharif believed on democracy.
