F-14 and F-15 sectors: FGEHF told to publish lists of allottees on its website
National Assembly Standing Committee on Housing and Works directed Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) Tuesday to publish lists of allottees in F-14 and F-15 sectors of federal capital on its website to ensure transparency in the allotment process.
The meeting of the committee was held in the Parliament House under the chair of MNA Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari. The committee members also directed the ministry for a regular action against encroachments and non-conforming use of residential and commercial properties in the residential sectors under its administrative control. While discussing the progress on preparation and finalization of lists of membership in housing projects in sectors F-14 and F-15 Islamabad, the committee members directed the housing foundation for ensuring transparency by displaying lists as per laid down criteria and quotas for various categories of employees of federal government, constitutional bodies and media etc on website of the foundation. The committee further directed to expedite development process for handing over the possession of the plots.
A representative of the foundation informed the committee members that in result of the membership drive, more than 79000 federal government employees and others have been registered as member since April 2015 to May 2016. However, as per instructions of the committee, quota wise and category wise, lists for allotment of plot of sectors F-14 and F-15 have been prepared and consent letters have been issued to members in categories I to III. The committee members were also informed that land acquisition process with District Collector was also being pursued efficiently.
While discussing actions against encroachers in sectors G-13 and G-14 by the FGEHF Enforcement Directorate, the committee expressed its dissatisfaction on the progress and directed the foundation for a continuous action against encroachers and non-conformers. The committee members also expressed dissatisfaction on the progress of the Masjid Committee for retrieval of land encroached or illegally occupied for Mosques in both the sectors. The committee directed for keeping it posted with the progress of the Masjid Committee on monthly basis.
The Chairman of the committee constituted a four-member sub-Committee to probe into the allotments to Estate Officers and Deputy Secretary (Estate) of the Housing Ministry made in contravention of rules, failure of Estate office to retrieve government accommodations illegally occupied by encroachers, trespassers and retired government employees. The sub-committee is directed to complete the task within 30 days while MNA Rajab Ali Khan would be convener of the sub-committee.
