Polio Emergency Operation center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa co-ordinator Mohammad Akbar Khan said that the three-day anti polio campaign will be carried out in remote areas of Shangla and Kohistan on Monday, to vaccinate the children below age of five years.
He said that in this connection a total 586 teams has been constituted which include 503 mobile teams, 59 fixed teams, 21 transit teams and three roaming teams. The campaign will be supervised through 134 areas in-charge.
A total of 1, 50,883 children will be immunised during three days campaign. Tight security arrangements have been made to ensure the campaign is successful in Shangla and Kohistan. Each team will be escorted with police to provide security to polio workers.
