Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has appointed former information minister, Qamar Zaman Kaira the president of PPP Central Punjab while Nadeem Afzal Chan the General Secretary. The decision was made during a meeting the provincial co-ordination committee chaired by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House.
Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar was appointed as PPP Central Punjab Information Secretary. Qaira, addressing the media after the appointment, thanked the party leadership for the responsibility. He said that the PPP was a reality rather a tradition, whereas other parties have risen and fallen with the passage of time. He vowed that the PPP will re-emerge in Punjab with full force and vigour, and the party will overcome the tough times being faced nowadays. Qaira said that no other party does the round of consultations as the PPP. He confirmed that consultations are underway for other party office-bearers in the province.
