The Sindh High Court here Friday restrained Hyderabad Electric Supply Company from severing electric supply of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). The order came after the WASA's Managing Director filed an urgency application in an ongoing SHC case complaining that the HESCO had cut off the power supply which had affected water supply in Hyderabad.
The court fixed the hearing for December 8 and till then barred the HESCO from disconnecting WASA's power supply. According to the WASA's spokesman, around 39 connections were severed which affected the water filtration plant and the water pumping stations.
