Shaheen Air International (SAI) is set to become the first private air carrier to unveil a unique in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. The company is showcasing the system at the 9th IDEAS 2016 - where it is the exclusive commercial airliner to participate. The system, dubbed Shaheen Infotainment (SIE), is a remarkable in-flight entertainment system which can be downloaded as an application through a wireless server. It can run on smartphones, tablets and laptops, thus liberating passengers from fixating on a single screen.
Triumphing on Shaheen Air's achievement of taking in-flight entertainment to a whole new level, Zohaib Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, Shaheen Air International said: "We pride ourselves in being at the forefront of introducing innovative travel offerings for our passengers. With the launch of Shaheen Infotainment, we are poised to redefine entertainment high up in the sky. The system will surely amplify technological advancement in the aviation sector." Passengers can enjoy the system on four A330-200s that operate on international routes. The commercial launch is expected by the end of this year.
