Health Advisor Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that the number of dengue patients and larvae has fallen considerably. He was addressing a meeting of officials to deem the health care measures taking in the province. He said dengue season is likely to last till mid of December but still departments concerned should continue anti-dengue activities.
Member Provincial Assembly Pir Ashraf Rasool, Director General Health Punjab Dr Mukhtar Hussain Syed, Dean Institute of Public Health, officers of departments concerned, EDO Health Lahore and representatives of Special Branch PITB and DHA also attended the meeting. Kh. Salman Rafique took notice of delay in the reporting of dengue patients by some govt hospitals and warned that action will be taken against the focal person.
