Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday declaring appointment of Sindh Chief Minister's law adviser Murtaza Wahab as illegal and barred him from attending provincial cabinet meetings. The SHC bench headed by Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah heard a petition against appointment of Murtaza Wahab as adviser on law to CM Sindh.
The petitioner argued that the adviser can only facilitate the CM Sindh but cannot run the law ministry while it was also illegal and against law to give status of minister to unelected person adding that Murtaza Wahab has not desired skills and experience of law. After listening the arguments, the court in its judgement declared Murtaza Wahab appointment as illegal and ordered him to quit the post immediately.
