Video: Disney releases first teaser of live-action film ‘Aladdin’
Walt Disney has finally released the first official teaser of director Guy Ritchie’s much anticipated live-action film ‘Aladdin’.

The movie stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Will Smith in the role of Aladdin’s flamboyant friend, Genie. In the teaser, Aladdin follows the basic premise of the original movie, and the trailer is beholden to those early moments, giving us a glimpse of Agrabah and the cave of wonders.
Smith has still not been revealed as Genie. The star teased that his magical character was stuck inside the gold lamp when he showed the poster on his Facebook page on Wednesday. “Let me out,” Smith wrote. “Can’t wait for you all to see me blue!”.
'Aladdin' is just one of many live-action or hybrid live-action adaptations of previous Disney animated movies such as The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Dumbo, The Little Mermaid, Lady and the Tramp and Mulan are also set to receive live-action or hybrid live-action/CGI remakes.
