December 2016 to February 15, 2017: Punjab government allows partridge hunting in 47 tehsils
Punjab government has allowed hunting of partridges in 47 tehsils of the province from December 2016 to February 15, 2017. Hunting will be allowed to those who have valid shooting license and can only play on Sundays. A notification has been issued in this regard by the Punjab Wildlife & Parks department the other day, said a spokesman.
According to the notification, one hunter can hunt six ordinary partridges and five See See partridges per day. Use of automatic weapons including repeater gun, cars/jeeps will not be allowed. Hunters cannot hunt in wildlife sanctuaries and national parks but can hunt in game reserves with special permit.
