On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,028. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.20 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,589. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.69 billion, followed by crude oil amounting (PKR 1.20 billion, gold PKR 1.14 billion, silver PKR 113.43 million, cotton PKR 40.17 million and copper PKR 5.62 million.
In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 10,215 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 1.83 million were also traded.
