A bar member Naveed Suhail Malik challenged the expulsion of Turkish teachers from Pakistan before the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday. The petitioner stated that the PakTurk Educational Foundation was running 28 schools in Pakistan which employed 130 Turkish teachers and more than 1,000 Pakistanis.
He stated the expulsion order came when Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan visited Pakistan. He said the Turkish teachers were serving in Pakistan for a decade and their stay was not violation of any law of the land. He stated that the impugned order was without any justification. He stated that Pakistan had nothing to do with the politics of other country and asked to the court to declare the impugned order of interior ministry as null and void.
