ISLAMABAD: French Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Marc Barety has called on Minister of State for Interior, Shehryar Khan Afridi and discussed matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation and regional security situation.
Talking to the Ambassador, the Minister said there exist historic relations between Pakistan and France.
He said terrorism has affected the entire world and armed forces of Pakistan have played a key role in restoration of peace and security.
The Minister said Pakistan offers numerous opportunities in tourism sector.
The French Ambassador applauded Pakistan's efforts against terrorism and acknowledged civil and military sacrifices offered by nation in that regard.
He expressed desire to have long-term cooperation with Pakistan in war against terror and highlighted importance of collective efforts against terrorism.
Both sides had a very rewarding meeting and agreed to further improve relations and explore more areas to enhance cooperation in other areas as well.
