Bipasha comes down hard on Sajid Khan after harassment claims against him

Supporting all women who have opened up about director Sajid Khan's sexual misconduct, actress Bipasha Basu has said that his attitude towards female cast and crew members on the sets of a film disturbed her

Bipasha was part of Sajid’s 2014 film ‘Humshakals’ but the actor decided not to promote the film after having a fallout with him during the film making. Bipasha revealed it was because of Sajid’s indecent behaviour that she decided to disassociate herself from the film.

“I am glad that women are speaking up about the atrocities of these men with power and clout. It was just his general attitude towards women that would disturb me. He cracked lewd jokes openly and was pretty rude to all girls. [Though] never ever did the same with me,” she said.

“I had sworn never to work in a humiliating environment for women ever again after Humshakals. Everyone knows I dissociated from the film for exactly this reason. I made it loud and clear,” she added.

Soon after three women accused Sajid of harassing them, the director stepped down from the directorial post of ‘Housefull 4’. He released a statement asking the media to not be judgmental before the truth is out.
