The Islamabad Police Tuesday claimed to have arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in kidnapping a 17-year-old boy, besides recovering the abductee safely. According to police, Sheikh Ahmed Faraz, a resident of Ittefaq Town of sector G-12, located in the jurisdiction of Ramana police station, lodged a complaint with police on November 28 that his 17-year-old son Osama had been kidnapped by unknown persons.
Following the complaint, Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Captain (Retd) Zeeshan Haider constituted a team under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ghulam Muhammad Baqir, comprising Station House Officer (SHO) Ramana police station Irshad Abro and other police personnel as its members. The police team managed to arrest the three accused, including Mazhar Hayat, a resident of Chakwal, Sandal Ejaz and Zohaib Khan, residents of sector I-10/4, for allegedly involved in kidnapping the boy and recovered Osama from their custody. Further investigation is under way in this regard.
