Punjab Assembly here on Tuesday in its 25th session could not deliberate on its agenda due to lack of quorum. The session was marred by absence of legislators. In an earlier session Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had reprimanded legislators to be punctual in attendance of assembly session. Advisor Chief Minister Punjab Rana Arshad in the session stated that parliamentary secretaries who do not attend session on three consecutive days should part ways with their designation.
The Bill 'The Punjab Land Preservation (Amendment) Bill-2016'aimed to amend 'The Punjab Preservation Act, 1900' could not be tabled due to mentioning of lack of quorum. In a query on Women Development, the house was told by the relevant minister that there were four women hostels for working women in the house. The session after a short period of deliberation was adjourned by the chair for today.
