Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) and Board of Revenue (BoR) have joined hands to expedite disposal of cases of Overseas Pakistanis in Revenue Judicial courts of the province. The high-ups of both institutions would hold fortnightly meetings to review the case disposal. Modalities in this regard were finalised in a meeting between Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti and Senior Member (BoR) Jawad Rafiq Malik.
Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti said that role of BoR and Revenue officers at district level is of great importance to ensure swift disposal of revenue judicial cases of overseas Pakistanis. Jawad Rafiq Malik said that necessary instructions have also been issued to revenue offices for early disposal of expats cases, pending in revenue courts. Certain cases of overseas Pakistanis came under discussion during the meeting and Senior Member BoR gave directions to field officers for timely disposal of such cases. Secretary (Revenue) Liaqat Ali Bhatti, Secretary (Settlement & Rehabilitation) Tariq Mahmood Zafar, Director Revenue OPC Ishrat Ullah Niazi and relevant officers were also present in this occasion.
