Ariana Grande calls off engagement with Pete Davidson

Singer Ariana Grande has called off her engagement with fiance Pete Davidson and have instead broken up over the last weekend, after being engaged for four months now.

The couple got engaged after dating for just a few weeks. The pair decided to end their engagement over the weekend, TMZ reported on Sunday. “It was way too much too soon,” a source told PEOPLE magazine. “It’s not shocking to anyone,” the source added.

The couple made their relationship official on Instagram in May. Davidson later confirmed his engagement to Grande on June 11 on ‘The Tonight Show’. He told host Jimmy Fallon, “I feel like I won the contest [getting engaged to her]”.

Grande is going through a difficult time, particularly after the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller last month, and has canceled many appearances at recent events.

Grande and Davidson became the internet obsession ever since they announced their relationship status in May this year. The internet can be a dark and upsetting place, yet as news about the two young stars flooded social media, it was actually a joy to watch.

Grande has not deleted photos and videos of Davidson from her social media accounts yet, while Davidson’s accounts are no longer active.
