Prime Minister's spokesman Musaddik Malik has said that campaign against the PML-N government was not aimed at seeking justice but to malign the government. Speaking at Aaj News talk show Faisla Aap Ka hosted by renowned anchor Asma Shirazi, Malik said that target behind the anti-government campaign was something else and after Panama Papers Leaks case, any other campaign would be launched.
He recalled that first an organised campaign was run on charges of electoral rigging and that too was aimed at defaming the government instead of seeking justice. Hence, he apprehended, this time again, a new campaign would be kicked-off (if Panama leaks case did not serve their interests).
Hamid Khan, PTI leader and former head of Imran Khan's lawyers' team, said that judgment of Panama leaks case could harm or benefit the government. He said that remarks of the judges are not the verdict. He said that the court's questions make easy the work of lawyers and they would be focussed due to three queries from the court. Senior politician Wasim Sajjad said that questions of the court are part of the proceedings. He said that situation would become clear after the hearing on Wednesday (today).
