Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) on Friday expressed reservations over National Action Plan (NAP), formulated after deadly attack on Army Public School (APS) in 2014, asked the government to explain did NAP met the set targets. Talking to reporters here on Friday, Fazlur Rehman, a key allies of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to explain how NAP met its set goals, adding that the NAP 'stood for nothing'.
He alleged that there is a double standard on part of the government to deal with seminary students and those from any formal university or collage, in connection with terrorism activities. However, he said that if the law enforcement agencies were arresting a student of a seminary in the same case, the issue is highlighted not only at national but internal level..
JUI-F chief also lambasted two main opposition parties Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP). Mualana while terming PTI policies as inefficient as a failed marriage said that Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan should be apologise to the nation for the kind of politics he has resorted.
Fazlur Rehman further said that he did not agree with the four demands raised by the Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Talking about Panama Leaks issue, he highlighted the gap between the allies, PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) by saying that Sirajul Haq wanted to have commission give verdict while Imran Khan has turned down Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali's offer to establish a commission.
