Apropos a Business Recorder news item "Baluchistan uplift means 'New Pakistan in making': PM" carried by the newspaper yesterday, the prime minister said the dream of Baluchistan prosperity is being realised with completion of several development projects, ensuring "a New Pakistan in the making."
"A new and developed Baluchistan means a new Pakistan, with an unprecedented progress never took place in history," the prime minister said in his address at the inauguration of a 448-kilometre-long Sorab-Hoshab road, an important segment of western route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Although prime minister's resolve is a reality, it lacks translation of commitments and pledges into actions expeditiously. His government has done little or nothing to effectively address some of the genuine or legitimate demands or concerns of disgruntled Baloch for greater peace and sustainable infrastructure developments in the province.
