Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) arrested a member Sindh Assembly Kamran Farooqi who was nominated in May 12 case while acting in North Nazimabad. Confirming Kamran's arrest, the spokesman for MQM Pakistan has said that Kamran was arrested from his residence. The LEAs have also written a letter to the Speaker Sindh Assembly for arresting Kamran Farooqi while Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had also issued his non-bailable arrest warrants.
Sources said that Kamran would be produced before the ATC within a day or two. He is also accused of killings of Uzair Baloch's workers. Kamran was elected MPA from PS-111 constituency Karachi and had also been summoned by Rangers for recording his statements. It may be clarified that Kamran had gone missing before the splitting of MQM.
