The Met Office on Thursday forecast mainly dry and cold weather for the entire country in the next 24 hours. It said that the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh were likely to remain under dense fog particularly evening and morning hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it added.
Weather in the next 48 hours: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. While dense foggy conditions are likely to continue over plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours. Temperature plunged to minus eight degree Celsius in Skardu, minus six in Kalam and Astore, each, Hunza, minus four in Gupis, minus three in Gilgit, minus two in Dir, Kalat, Malamjabba and Quetta each and Bagrote minus one in the last 24 hours.
