The Met Office on Saturday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. It said fog prevalence was likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh during the night and morning hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it said.
Skardu was the coldest place in the country with freezing temperature of minus 10 Celsius followed by Hunza and Gilgit minus five, each, Astore and Gupis minus four, each, Kalam minus three, Dir, Rawalakot and Bagrote minus two, each and Kalat, Chitral and Malam Jabba minus one, each, over the last 24 hours.
Weather in the next 48 hours: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. Foggy conditions are likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh during the night and morning hours.
