Chairman Turkish Investment Group, Ahmet Albayrak met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at Chief Minister's Office. Ahmet Albayrak showed deep interest in investment for the development of housing and social sectors in Punjab during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan and Turkey are bound in historic brotherly relations and Turkey has supported Pakistan in every hour of difficulty. He appreciated the spirit of people of Turkey with democracy under the leadership of their great leader President Recipe Tayyip Erdogan. The great nation of Turkey under the leadership of their great leader President Recipe Tayyip Erdogan saved democracy through great struggle and this step will be written in golden letters in the history, he added.
He said that people of Pakistan and Turkey are close friends that is why different companies of Turkey and investors are making investment in Pakistan especially in Punjab.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government is providing all out facilities to foreign investors and a conducive atmosphere has been provided for investment under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Interest in investment by Turk Group in social sectors of Punjab is welcomed and Punjab government will extend all out co-operation in this regard, he added.
The Chief Minister strongly condemned the incidents of terrorism occurred recently in Turkey and said that people of Pakistan are with Turkish people in this hour of distress and their joys and sorrows are common. He said that like Pakistan, Turkey is also fighting against terrorists. He said that the enemies of the humanity will have to be defeated jointly.
Dua was offered for the departed souls of those who died during incidents of terrorism in Turkey in the meeting.
Chairman Turkish Investment Group, Ahmet Albayrak said that his group wants to make investment for the improvement of housing and social sectors in Punjab and will work under close contacts with Punjab government in this regard. He said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has played a positive and active role for promoting relations between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that people of Turkey appreciate unprecedented capabilities of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Undoubtedly, Shahbaz Sharif has completed different public welfare projects with quality and speed.
Provincial Ministers Malik Nadeem Kamran, Manshaullah Butt, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, senior leader of PML-N Kh. Ahmed Hasaan, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development, Pakistani Consul General in Istanbul and senior officials were present on the occasion.
