11 personnel of Sindh Police have been suspended on Sunday and 2 arrested for links with dacoits, drug dealers and persons involved in crimes. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East, Faisal Abdullah suspended 11 personnel belonging to different police stations.
Reportedly, 6 personnel belonging to Mehmoodabad Police Station, PIB Colony Police Station and New Town Police Station were suspended for assisting drug dealers.
2 ASIs of Gulistan-e-Jauhar were also suspended while 2 cops were held for allegedly snatching local's mobile phone. Station House Officer (SHO) of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Nawaz Chattha has been demoted over complaints of land grabbing and illegal construction under his supervision.
According to the SSP, District East, necessary action would be taken against all those who are found guilty in inquiries.
