Cash bids for hard red winter wheat (HRW) around the southern US Plains were unchanged on Tuesday as farmers eyed quiet rangebound futures activity, merchants said. Sluggish farmer sales at times supported Chicago Board of Trade K.C. wheat contracts. Moderating temperatures in the Plains reduced the threat of damage to dormant winter wheat plants which periodically pressured futures.
