The Met Office on Thursday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. It said that the dense foggy conditions were likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it said.
Skardu with minus eight degrees Celsius was the coldest place in the country followed by Gupis and Hunza minus six, each, Gilgit minus three, Astore, Bagrote, Dir and Parachinar minus two each, and Kalam minus one. In the next 48 hours: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. While dense foggy conditions are likely to continue over plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
