At least fifteen persons were killed and around two dozen others injured in two separate accidents in Jhelum and Sahiwal on Sunday. According to Rescue sources, 11 persons including four women and four men were killed and more than 13 were injured due to a head-on collision between a passenger van and a car on GT Road near Sohawa in Jhelum district.
Witnesses said one of the tyres of the Islamabad-bound car burst due to which it overturned on main road and in the meantime, the Rawalpindi-bound van, which was travelling at a high speed, collided with the car.
In the second accident, four persons were killed and more than 20 injured when a passenger bus and a trailer collided in Yusufwala area of Sahiwal district on Sunday.
