Rejecting the holding of third All Parties Conference on CPEC, the Corridor Front, a group of various political parties, civil society organisations, has termed that the idea to hold another 'APC on CPEC' was aimed at hiding the failure KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, to achieve a single scheme in China Pakistan Economic Corridor during his participation in the Joint Coordination Council (JCC) meeting in Beijing.
Speaking a press conference at the press club here on Monday, Convener of the Corridor Front, Dr Said Alam Mehsud said KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had presented around nine projects, but he had badly failed to achieve a single scheme during the JCC meeting at Beijing. He said the Beijing was accepted all those decisions, which were desired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Flanked by leaders of various political parties, CSOs including Farid Toofan of Awami National Party-Wali, Farzana Zain of KP Olasi Tehreek, Yousuf Anwar of Mazdoor Kisan Party, Zubair Anjum of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazriati, Engineer Haider Zaman of Awami Workers Party, Rahim Shah Advocate of Fata Lawyer Forum, Liaquat Yousufzai of Kasht Kar Coordination Council, Dr Mesud also rejected the demand for another all parties conference on the issue of CPEC.
He accused that the joint resolutions on CPEC unanimously endorsed by Khyber Assembly had become victims of the deal between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak.
Dr Said Alam said the Corridor Front had shared all details regarding CPEC with KP Chief Minister Pervez then he asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that they were on same page regarding CPEC, and requested him to call another APC to garner support of all opposition political parties on that crucial project.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was constitutionally, legally and morally bonded regarding decisions of last two APCs on CPEC. Besides, he added the Prime Minister should not be held accountable regarding decisions of earlier two APCs on CPEC.
He said the idea to hold third APC was aimed at hiding the failure of KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for not achieving any single project during JCC meeting at Beijing. He said some pro-government parties in parliamentarian would also support to the KP Chief Minister on his stance, eventually all people would hide their faces, and developed a fabricated consensus on CPEC.
Dr Said Alam said it was ironically that PTI didn't accept Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister, and boycotted his speech from joint session of parliament during visit of Turk President Recepy Tayyab Erdagon, and called him as corrupt and looter.
But, he said Nawaz Sharif was appeared in eye of PTI as crystal and clear man regarding CPEC. He said it was visible that a deal between Prime Minister and KP Chief Minister was reached on CPEC, and both parties were preparing to gain votes in Punjab for upcoming general elections, besides to strength the economic of Punjab, economic genocide of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Fata.
He said that Corridor Front would strongly protest against that pre-planned conspiracy against Pakhtuns belt, and should not be allowed to forces in their nefarious mission.
He said they had decided to present the details of proceeding of JCC meeting held at Beijing before the provincial legislators and other political parties, to timely inform about the KP government stance on CPEC.
