The law and order has improved in the country because of civil-military co-operation, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday. Talking to media persons after inauguration of Sangjani-Biswal Interchange at M-1 in the outskirts of Islamabad, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the security situation had improved to a large extent in the country due to joint efforts of civil and military institutions.
He said that no one was serious to eradicate corruption from the country and every one was just only making rhetoric to deceive public. "Strengthening of basic structure and development will protect future of the country," he said. The minister further said it was truth that doing a good job in Pakistan was very difficult but committing a wrong work was easy. "There is a need to control use of abusive language, confrontation and violence in politics," he said. He added, "We can not serve the country until and unless we control politics of confrontation and violence." He further said, "There should be no contradiction in our actions and sayings."
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the country was passing through a difficult phase; therefore, decisions should be made in the Parliament instead of on roads and streets. "The protests and sit-ins are not the solution to the issues and we need to show unity in order to resolve all the problems facing the nation," he added.
Sangjani-Biswal Interchange at M-1 has been completed at a cost of Rs 650 million jointly contributed by Army Welfare Trust (AWT), WAPDA and Engineering Co-operative Housing Society. The completion of the project has linked western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor with Hakla, Dera Ismail Khan. The interchange will benefit one million local people, besides significantly reducing the travel time from Taxila, Khanpur, Wah Cantt and Hazara to Lahore, Karachi and Dera Ismail Khan. The travel time between Islamabad and Dera Ismail Khan has been reduced by three hours.
