Ceremonies held to celebrate the Chinese New Year under the directions of Punjab government at different sites where chinese engineers and workers are working on different projects in the district. The main function was held at Sadhanwala Camp Chak No.441/G.B. Tehsil Samundri.
Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani, SSP Operation Rana Masoom, Deputy Manager Karachi Lahore Motorway Zhao and Administrator Wang Wei, DSP Malik Shahid, Admin Officer Conducting Riaz Hussain Anjum and other officers of divisional and district administration were also participated the Chinese new year celebration ceremony. DC Salman Ghani cut a cake along with Chinese engineers and workers on the occasion and presented the bouquets to Chinese Engineers and workers. He conveyed his best wishes to the Chinese leadership and people on starting their traditional year.
He said China and Pakistan are bonded through ever strong friendship and the partnership in the form of CPEC would prove to be a historical milestone in the Pak-China bilateral relations. DC saluted the Chinese Engineers and workers who were working very hard for the completion of development projects. He said people of Faisalabad, district administration and district police really appreciated the expertise and working of Chinese citizens who are contributing a lot for the development of Pakistan.
He said we are proud of Chinese engineers and workers because on this occasion of festivity they are staying here instead of joining their families. DC told that district administration had been taken serious steps for foolproof security at project sites where 232 Chinese were working on CPEC and NHA projects in the district. SSP Operation Muhammad Masoom expressed good wishes for the people of China on the advent of new lunar year being celebrated in China. He also briefed that strict security arrangements had been made at all project sites of Faisalabad.
