Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Minority Affairs, Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan has said that Minority Affairs Department has announced scholarships for students from minority on merit cum poverty basis who are enrolled in public sector universities in first phase, later the scope will be extended to other education institutions.
He stressed that a high level scrutiny committee has been formulated to maintain the merit, monitor the process and submit its final report to the competent authority for approval before the start of new session.
He said that quality education and access of new technology to young generation is top priority of Sindh Government, so that our youth would be able to meet the challenges equipped with the modern education. Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan said Sindh Government has tried the best to take all the measures and provide education opportunities to the talented needy students. He said that it was priority of government to provide quality education to all the students irrespective of their religion and cast.
