Heroin concealed in power banks recovered

The customs staff of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad has recovered 660 grams of heroin tactfully concealed inside power banks. According to details, a parcel booked by one Muhammad Zahid Gull, HD Plaza, shop No 11, Peshawar, bearing tracking for Shenzhen, China, consisting of 18 power banks was detained. Detailed examination of the parcel led to the recovery of 660 grams of heroin tactfully concealed inside the power banks. To dodge customs staff, one or two cells in the power bank were left in contact with circuit and were operational at the time of examination.
This is first concealment of such nature detected by customs department. The destination was also new and not suspected for such activity. An FIR has been lodged with I&P branch of collectorate and investigations are under way.
