Groundbreaking ceremony at GTTH performed

The ground breaking ceremony of executive block at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital (GTTH) was performed by philanthropist Surraya Siddiqui, here on Tuesday. The 27-bed executive block has been designed on the premises of hospital not only to extend quality healthcare facilities to the well-off people on market rates but also help raise income of the organisation, Mushtaq Ahmed Mian, member Board of Trustees of GTTH told media.
He said that GTTH was a charitable hospital for the poor patients especially for the inhabitants of 110 less developed border villages. Initially a 20-bed facility, the institute has over the years been upgraded to what is now a 580-bed structure that always kept its doors to both the have and have-nots open. Now this Hospital will get another 100 beds ward which would be fully functional by April. And with the induction of five more operation theatres, the complicated Ortho and Spine cases will get their turn after 10 weeks instead of 5 months, he said.
