Speakers at the meeting of Shura Hamdard Karachi chapter urged the government to do whatever it can to root out the corruption from Pakistani society as terrorism is a by-product of corruption. The meeting was held on Thursday on the theme: Corruption and terrorism", presided over by former Justice Hazizul Khairi at a local hall. Mrs. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan was also present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Guest Speaker and former member of National Assembly Dost Muhammad Faizi questioned why Pakistan has far lagged behind of those countries which had won freedom side by side of Pakistan. He said that Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had categorically declared that "Urdu" would be the national language of Pakistan; Pakistan would be democratic, Islamic welfare state and Pakistan was a homeland of one nation. He lamented that after the death of Quaid all his sayings were neglected as we saw tremendous confusion over the construction of Kalabag Dam and matters, related to CPEC, in the mind of many persons and every one was asking what benefits his province would get out of these projects. This confusion should be finished in the larger interest and development of the country, he added.-PR
