Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan said that under the vision of CM Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab govt has attached special attention on provision of most advanced and quality health facilities to the patients at their door steps and billion of rupees were being spent to up grade the Tehsil Head Quarters Hospitals and provision of medical machinery/equipments in the public hospitals.
He expressed these views while taking briefing on the pace of construction work of the extension of Govt General Hospital Samanabad.
This hospital is being expanded from 50 beds to 255 beds at a cost of Rs 1 billion and state of the art building of 6 floors and about to complete. Principal PMC Professor Dr Alfareed Zafar, CEO District Health Authority Dr Nawazish Goraya, Medical Superintendents Allied and General Hospital Samanabad Dr Rashid Maqbool, Dr Khalid Fakhar, AC City Bilawal Abro, Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Councilors, Members of Samanabad welfare society, PMLN Workers and people of PP 70 constituency were also present on the occasion.
Rana Sanaullah Khan also addressed a public gathering on this occasion and said that present govt believed in the services of the masses and basic remedies were being provided to the masses at their door steps. He said that people of Faisalabad were being provided with expanded medical facilities and new hospitals are being established at different corners of the city to decrease the burden of Allied and DHQ hospitals besides up gradation of existing hospitals. He said the 50-bed Government General Hospital Samanabad was being expanded to 255-bedded which was the dire need of area. Punjab govt has allocated funds of Rs 43.83 billion in current financial year for the strengthening of health sector and revamping of govt hospitals in order to provide better and advanced medical facilities to the people near their residence, he added.
He said under the leadership of Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab govt was fully unwavering to boost up the health sector inline with the modern technology and comprehensive strategy had been evolved for the revamping of DHQs and THQs. He added that the largest children hospital of the Asia was being completed in Faisalabad where outdoor and emergency facilities had been made functional.
Minister also met with members of the Samanabad Welfare Society and appreciated the services of the Society. He also took a round of hospital and reviewed medical facilities being provided in the hospital. He expressed satisfaction over the facilities being extended to the patients in the hospital and praised construction work of the building. Principal PMC said that the administrative affairs and medical facilities in the govt. hospitals in the city were being made computerized for ensuring good governance.
He said that various reforms had been introduced in Allied, DHQ and general hospitals for the smooth function of the medical institutions.
He expressed his commitment for providing all out medical cover to each and every patient and rapid development of medical institutions under the vision of CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Medical Superintendent Dr Khalid Fakhar briefed the Punjab Minister about extension of Hospital and highlighted the role of Samanabad welfare society. He told that best medical facilities were being provided to the patient in the hospital and confidence of the patients has been raised. He said due to the overcrowded of the patients it was utmost need to expand the hospital. He thanked to Rana Sanaullah Khan for provided funds for up gradation of Hospital.
