The Under-23 Female Games in District Bannu entered into the last phase with Lakki Marwat maintained their lead on the second day of the three-day Games being played across District Bannu on different venues. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Bannu Anila Fahim was the chief guest on this occasion and paid visit to various venues along with Director General Sports Rashida Ghaznavi, international coach Syed Jaffar Shah, Organizing Secretary Hamid Khan, District Sports Officer Habib Ullah, players, officials and large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling events.
In the volleyball final Lakki Marwat defeated Bannu by 25-17, 25-19, 22-25 and 25-21. The two teams presented excellent display of forceful spiking and attacking game. In the basketball event Lakki Marwat defeated Bannu by 34-15, likewise Bannu defeated Lakki Marwat in a dramatically ended squash final. The score was 12-10, 10-12, 13-10, 10-12 and 11-9. In the netball final Lakki Marwat defeated Bannu by 11-8, Javeria, Tahira and Irum scored three goals each while Bano scored two goals while for Bannu Hira, Bareera, Yousra, Shehnaz and Rashada scored two goal each.
In the hockey event Lakki Marwat upset Bannu by 2-1 in a thrilling match. Anila and Aysha scored one goal each for Lakki Marwat while Ambareen reduced the margin for Bannu in the second half. Lakki Mawat is secured first position in four different disciplines against three won by Bannu. A total of 15 various disciplines will be organized. Wednesday is the last day of the Games wherein a prize distribution ceremony will be organized at around 11.30. The winner was awarded Rs. 20,000 while the runners-up got Rs. 15000 cash prizes.
