Provincial Minister Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gilani Thursday chaired the oath taking ceremony of newly elected office bearers of employees welfare association (EWA) of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore.
Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin, Chairman Lahore Board Professor Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Secretary Ms. Rehana Ilyas, Controller Professor Muhammad Nasir Jamil and a large number of employees attended the ceremony, which was held at the lawn of the board.
In his address, the Minister for Higher Education announced the grant of onetime bonus for the board employees. He also announced to send two employees on Hajj every year at the expense of the board. He also announced to constitute a five-number committee to deal with service related matters of the board employees. The committee would include Special Secretary Higher Education Department Tahir Yousaf, chairman board Ismail, Deputy Secretary (Finance) Nouman Jamil, Assistant Secretary Board Rana Munir Akbar and president of employees association Muhammad Arif Gujjar. This committee would also ponder over the grant of onetime bonus to employees of other educational boards in the province.
Chairman Lahore Board Chaudhry Ismail commended the hard work and commitment of the employees and said that they often work lately to meet deadlines. He said the Lahore Board, being the mother education board in the province, would continue to serve with full zeal and commitment to provide better services in the future. President and General Secretary of the employees welfare association also spoke on the occasion.
