On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,134. The total traded value of rMetals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.24 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,432. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.49 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.35 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 859.66 million, silver PKR 493.02 million, copper PKR 39.33 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.696 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 26 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 10.13 million were also traded.
