Ministry of Industries and Production (MoI&P) has reportedly formed a committee to scrutinise applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineering Development Board, a position that has attracted some unsuitable candidates. EDB advertised in newspapers seeking applications from candidates with BSC Engineering and MBA from an HEC recognised national or an international university. The contract of incumbent CEO will expire on March 30, 2017.
According to sources, 41 candidates have applied for the slot of CEO EDB including controversial incumbent CEO and a senior General Manager. The sources said Ministry''s committee will carefully scrutinise and shortlist suitable candidates and submit them to the Secretary of the Ministry.
