Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) in collaboration with Lahore College for Women University will arrange one-day exhibition of its pottery products during the next month for the awareness of general public. The said decision was taken during a meeting of Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh with LCWU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rukhsana Kausar on the occasion of inauguration of display corner of TEVTA ceramic products at the university.
Members TEVTA Ceramic Board, Nabila Intisar, Zafar Mehmood, TEVTA Officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Mian Amjad Shujja, Sarfraz Anwar, Faculty Members of LCWU Dr Riffat Dar, Saeed Khalid and other officers of both Organizations were also present on the occasion.
Irfan said that the display of TEVTA ceramic products at LCWU will promote the sector. The opening of the said corner is the continuity of the efforts of TEVTA and university for the promotion the sector for which both Organizations have already signed a MoU in August, 2016.
Through the said venture, TEVTA will have a great opportunity to introduce the skills of its students and master craftsmen at a public forum. He further said that TEVTA products are crafted by the students of TEVTA under the supervision of the master craftsmen at the institute.
Chairperson TEVTA said that we are working passionately to adopt innovative designs in the said area with the assistance of LCWU Lahore. TEVTA is also looking forward for establishing linkage with renowned outlets on the same pattern in the near future. He further said that TEVTA is upgrading its ceramics institute as per modern industrial requirement.
It would be a great source of facilitation to the concerned industry. Peoples from different walks of life, including representatives of industry attended the inauguration ceremony and appreciated the efforts of TEVTA and LCWU for promotion of the ceramic sector.
