Body formed to probe Punjab land scandal

Chief Justice of Lahore high Court (LHC) on Thursday formed a high-level committee to investigate the mega land scam of 193,000 kanal land in Punjab. According to details, Advocate general Punjab has also declared report issued by a private TV news channel as authentic and assured to hold inquiry into the matter. On December 1, 2016, the scandal of 193,000 kanal land grabbed through verdicts of fake courts, lawyers, judges and witnesses was unearthed by media. Resident of Lahore's Samanabad area, Chaudhry Arshad was found prime suspect as he started this trick some 14 years ago by providing fake documents showing proprietary rights of the fraud groups.
