Pension payment: LHC seeks reply from AG, finance department

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday sought replies from the Accountant General Punjab and Finance department on a petition seeking contempt proceedings for not complying with court's orders regarding payment of pension. Muhammad Yousaf and others said despite clear orders of the court the respondents had not paid them pension. Such attitude of authorities is tantamount to contempt of court, they said, and prayed for contempt proceedings against the respondent departments.
